Mystery, murder and comic mayhem are on the menu in “Clue,” bounding onto the Greenville Theatre stage.

The play is based on the 1985 cult film and inspired by the classic Hasbro board game. Several mysterious guests are invited to the secluded Boddy Manor — and then people begin to die.

“Clue” is both a whodunit and an uproarious farce, said Max Quinlan, Greenville Theatre’s producing artistic director.

“It’s a fast, fun and engaging play,” Quinlan said. “We think it’ll be a great way to enjoy the Halloween season.”

The stage play features the familiar figures from the iconic 1985 film: Wadsworth the butler, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard.

“Fans will get to see all of their favorite characters,” Quinlan said.
