The government shutdown means less people working in SC national parks.

The National Park Service's government shutdown alert states parks will remain as accessible as possible to the public. But some services may be limited or unavailable.

"The National Park will continue to keep parks as accessible as possible during the lapse in appropriations. Only events that do not require National Park Service employee staff support will continue to be held. Visitors may still enjoy the trails at the parks," the National Park Service told Fox Carolina in a statement.
