LAYHILL, Md. — Police and firefighters are investigating after a van went off the road in Layhill and collided with a tree Wednesday morning.
Crews were called to the intersection of Punch Street and Queensguard Road around 9 a.m. That's not far from the Mid-County Community Recreation Center. Investigators say a van carrying one adult and two young school-aged children went off the road and traveled 40 feet and crashed into a tree.
Firefighters say all three people were taken to the hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Additional details have not yet been made public.
