It’s the kind of nightmare no one ever wants to live through. Julian Fleming, a former Ohio State & Penn State wide receiver, now faces a courtroom instead of the football field. He’s charged with homicide after a crash that killed his girlfriend earlier this year.

Fleming’s attorney, David Bahuriak, isn’t holding back. He told TMZ Sports the case is a “tragic and unavoidable accident,” not a crime.

“The prosecution here took a tragic and unavoidable accident and turned it into a crime when the facts don’t support that,” Bahuriak said. “Julian lost the love of his life, and this prosecution does nothing to advance the interests of anyone.”
