GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - When it comes to cheese dips, you will find great recipes that are both hot and cold.

Pub Cheese is usually served hot but by serving it cold, the recipe becomes more versatile.

And when it comes to football season I am all about great taste but easy when it comes to tailgate time.

Ingredients

2 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, room temperature

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar

1/4 cup beer

1 tsp. caraway seeds

1 tsp. garlic powder

Kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar caraway seeds, and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.

Fold in beer and mix until smooth and creamy.

Place in bowl or a serving dish

Top with chives. Serve with pretzels alongside.
