The remaining suspects being questioned in connection with the terror attack on a synagogue in north Manchester are to be released without charge, police have confirmed.
Counter-terrorism investigations are ongoing after knifeman Jihad Al-Shamie unleashed horror at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on Middleton Road in Crumpsall on Thursday (October 2) as the Jewish community marked the holy day of Yom Kippur.
Attacker Al-Shamie, 35, was shot dead by armed officers at the scene. Police believe he had been influenced by extremist Islamist ideology and revealed he had called 999 during his deadly attack pledging allegiance to the so-called Islamic State terror group.
