EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Police are at the scene of a shooting in Evansville.

Just after 2 p.m., police were called to reports of gunfire in the area of White Oak Manor, an apartment building located at the corner of North St. Joseph Avenue between Virginia Street and Iowa Street.

The apartment building is just a few blocks away from a busy West Franklin Street, where the Fall Festival is taking place.

Officials at the scene tell us one person was shot, but that their injuries don't appear to be life-threatening. We're told one person was also taken into custody.

Our news crew at the scene saw police entering a nearby apartment in connection with the incident.
