EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- Evansville police have been called to a report of shots fired near the Fall Festival.

The call came in just after 2 p.m. at the 500 block of St. Joe, approximately two blocks from West Franklin Street. Police have not been able to find anybody who has been injured.

Helfrich Park STEM Academy has been placed on what EVSC called "safe secure mode" as a result of the report.

Evansville Police PIO Anthony Aussieker says authorities believe the shooting happened during a dispute over a vehicle. One person was shot in the arm and another person is now in custody.
