Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is doing everything in his power to return to the lineup in the near future.
The 27-year-old hasn’t played since early September, after suffering a PCL strain in his left knee. The injury was initially believed to be short-term, but it has continued to bother Bichette to the point where the Jays chose to leave him off their ALDS roster.
Though the Jays still have to get there, the ALCS won’t begin until Sunday, giving some optimism that Bichette may be able to be a part of that series, whether right from the beginning or partway through. While that remains to be seen, he was spotted doing some light running drills for the first time at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday morning.
The positive here is that it marks the first time Bichette has been spotted
