NEW YORK— Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette has started to make a bit of progress in his return from a sprained left knee, but it’s still not clear if he will be available for a potential American League championship series.
Bichette did some light jogging prior to Wednesday’s Game 4 of their AL division series against the New York Yankees. He went through drills in the outfield at Yankee Stadium before both teams took batting practice.
Notably, the 27-year-old did not wear a brace. He was frequently spotted using one while walking around the clubhouse in recent weeks, but not for his latest workout.
“We’re taking it a day at a time with him,” Jays manager John Schneider said Wednesday afternoon. “I think the last three days have been pretty positive, moving in the right direction.
