WILLISTON, Fla. (WCJB) - One of the three people killed when a small plane crashed into a field in Levy County on Sunday evening has been identified.

Family members tell TV20, Spencer Christian Arnold, 33, of St. Petersburg, Fla., was piloting the plane that crashed into a peanut field a short distance from the Williston Airport.

The two passengers in the Beechcraft Baron 58P aircraft that took off from an airport in Kentucky were also killed in the crash. The plane was registered to a company out of St. Petersburg.

According to FlightAware , the plane was flying normally until it approached the airport. Instead of slowing down, the plane’s speed increased, and it dropped suddenly.
