Bo Bichette appears to have taken a step forward in his rehab.

The Toronto Blue Jays shortstop jogged in the outfield at Yankee Stadium ahead of Game 4 on Wednesday, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reported.

Bichette, who was not included on the ALDS roster as he deals with a knee sprain, ran three times for about 50 yards before slowly walking back to team trainers, Bannon reported.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury on Sept. 6 — ironically, at Yankee Stadium — and had been doing some light workouts to try to work his way back to the field. Manager John Schneider said Saturday that Bichette had yet to begin running or facing velocity.
