GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — Questions are mounting about how city leaders are using funds to reduce gun violence in Gainesville, with the Children’s Trust of Alachua County demanding greater transparency about the violence interruption program’s operations and impact.
The Children’s Trust has invested in violence reduction programs for the past two years, with an additional $150,000 already allocated to support violence interruption through fiscal year 2026.
