ASHEVILLE - Records show that Christopher Morrow, remembered for his deep love of family and strong faith, died Sept. 17 from a possible overdose, hours after he was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility.
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office completed what’s called a “Report of an Inmate Death Form” the day Morrow died, as required within five days by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. The report says Morrow, 44, of Asheville, was found in distress at 3:17 a.m., five hours after he was booked into jail under a misdemeanor charge of tampering with a food truck, according to a copy obtained by the Citizen Times.
