Trey Yesavage will be in the Blue Jays’ bullpen for Game 4 of the ALDS against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, Toronto manager John Schneider said Wednesday.
The rookie right-hander dominated New York in his Game 2 start , throwing 5 1/3 hitless innings and striking out 11, a franchise postseason record. He pitched in relief three times in the Minors this year, his first season in professional baseball, including as recently as Sept. 7 for Triple-A Buffalo. He allowed four runs (three earned) in 8 1/3 innings in those appearances.
