A year to the date of a fire that destroyed the Army, Navy, Air Force Club in Brantford, the organization’s president said they continue work toward restoration of their building.
“We remember the tragic event which occurred one year ago today,” said Logan Webb in a message posted to social media on Wednesday. “Many of us can still recall the sound of crackling wood, bending steel and fiery scenes that consumed our club.

“But we believe something good can still come from the darkest of tragedies.”
Webb said they have been working hard to restore the building “so it can be once again a home for our veterans, members and the community of Brantford.”
