CHARDON, Ohio (WJW) -- After the Chardon Tavern and Grill caught fire Saturday afternoon, the owners of the establishment have offered an update on their next steps.
"We’re committed to reopening as soon as we’re able, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back," Amie and Rich Willner and Lori and Dave Youdath wrote in a joint Facebook statement. They said the plan is to hopefully be back in business in 6 to 8 months.
Firefighters were dispatched to the fire at 405 Water Street just after noon, the Chardon Fire Department reported Saturday.
An investigation into how the fire broke out is being handled by the Geauga County Fire Investigation Unit.
