SANDY — Two schools in Sandy were placed on secure status Wednesday morning after a domestic incident took place nearby, police said.
Albion Middle School and Quail Hollow Elementary School were placed on secure status, meaning nobody can enter or exit, but operations inside continue as normal.
Sgt. Michael Olsen with the Sandy Police Department said the secure status was prompted by an incident that began in the area of 1800 East and Fall View Drive at 7:15 a.m.
Olsen said a man rammed a car with his own vehicle during a domestic incident. The man then fled the scene in his car, and eventually abandoned it and fled on foot near the two schools, Olsen said.
“ Just as a precaution, those schools were placed on secure status. We believe he’s up in the area still on foot. So, we have con
