TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Florida A&M University has appointed its interim director of Athletics.
In a press release Wednesday, the HBCU announced its appointment of Michael Smith as interim director of Athletics, effective October 6. He’ll replace Travis Glasgow, who FAMU said is departing the university.
Smith currently serves as associate vice president for finance and administration, per FAMU’s statement.
Previously, the former Rattler football player served as “the assistant vice president for Athletics, associate director of Athletics for Internal Operations, director of Business and Auxiliary Services, Title IX chairperson, an auditor with FAMU’s Inspector General’s Office, and the business manager for the Division of Student Affairs,” the press release wrote.
