BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Bakersfield City Council is slated to approve an agreement with Flood Ministries for a program that would help reunite individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness with their family, friends or other personal support networks.

The city was looking for qualified agencies to conduct outreach and implement the Community Vitality and Family Reunification Initiative, a diversion-based program that would facilitate the reunifications, according to the Bakersfield City Council agenda.
