NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - More speed cushions are popping up in East Nashville, leaving some drivers frustrated.
New speed cushions, installed along Haysboro Avenue in East Nashville, are generating complaints from drivers who say the traffic-calming devices are damaging their vehicles, even when traveling at the posted speed limit.
Nick Randazzo, who lives in the area, said the speed cushions have become a daily frustration for residents.
“Having to drive over them every day is probably my least favorite part of it,” Randazzo said.
Despite voting against the installation, Randazzo said he understands the safety concerns that prompted their placement. The stretch of Haysboro Avenue lacks sidewalks, creating dangerous conditions for pedestrians.
