RICHMOND, Ind. — Flying Mummies are coming to Indiana, and not just for the October spooky season.

The Richmond Flying Mummies, the newest addition to the Northwoods League and Indiana's amateur baseball scene, unveiled their new team name, branding and logo on Monday. This comes ahead of the team's inaugural 2026 season at historic McBride Stadium in Wayne County.

The team's name is a nod to Richmond's history and "community spirit," the team said. Flying Mummies combines the "uniqueness" of two mummies on display in the city with the history of the Wright Brothers spending time in the area before inventing the airplane.
