NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Following Monday's three confirmed tornadoes, it's only appropriate that for this week's WEATHER WEDNESDAY we explore the difference between a Tornado Watch and Tornado Warning along with touching base on safety tip.

When it comes to severe weather, if environmental factors are conducive to tornado formation (which we will talk about next week) either a Tornado Watch or Tornado Watch will be issued, but exactly what do they mean?

In describing the two, let's think about it in terms of BAKING A CAKE:

(a) Tornado Watch: You have the ingredients for the cake, but they have not yet been mixed together or even put into the oven. So there's potential that you could be getting a cake, but it's not 100%. Same goes for a Tornado Watch where "conditions are favorable" and it'
