Two B.C. fashion designers will be in the mix when Project Runway Canada begins its new season on Crave Nov. 14.
Joining 10 other hopefuls from around the country who will be snipping and sewing up a storm in a variety of challenges on the reality competition show are Terrace’s Taalrumiq and Delayne Dixon of Kamloops.
Taalrumiq is an Inuvialuk and Gwich’in artist and designer who, according to show materials, draws on her ancestral sewing knowledge, as “she weaves traditional forms with contemporary fashion through her cultural and creative label, Taalrumiq.” A TikTok hit, Taalrumiq is a multi-time participant in the Banff Centre’s Indigenous Haute Couture Residency. Her work has also appeared in Vogue.com and Time Magazine.
Dixon comes into the show with 14 years of experience
