With the Detroit Tigers losing 3-0, it looked pretty evident that this roller-coaster season was finally coming to an end at Comerica Park on a sunny, pleasant Wednesday. And yes, some fans were ready to say good riddance.

Then... wait... suddenly, the sleeping bats came alive and the Tigers went wild, slamming doubles and homers, and beating the Seattle Mariners 9-3 — eight runs in three innings, with three homers.

Now, it's off to Seattle, where Tigers ace Tarik Skubal is expected to pitch in the decisive Friday game. A time has not been officially set.

Seattle has shown they can beat Skubal. But if the Tigers give him some runs, they've got a chance.
