GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office says a Greensboro woman has been arrested in connection with the death and dismemberment of Amber Marie Schimmelpfenning, whose remains were found last month in Winston-Salem and Summerfield.

Investigators said Sunshine Hall, 44, was taken into custody on Wednesday, October 8, by the Greensboro Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team.

Hall is charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and concealment/failure to report an unnatural death. Deputies said she was booked into the Guilford County Detention Center in Greensboro and is being held without bond because she was already on a pretrial release at the time of her arrest.
