(KRON) -- A Bay Area congressman claims that a bombshell revelation related to the Epstein files is on the verge of being made public and could trigger a collapse in support for President Donald Trump among Republican House members. That's according to Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Livermore).

The East Bay Democrat took to X on Wednesday to say he'd been speaking confidentially with colleagues on the other side of the aisle who told him support for the president was fading.

"It's coming to an end guys. I've spoken to a lot of House Republicans this week and they've confided that Trump's movement/support is fading," Swalwell tweeted. "As one told me, 'this Epstein bomb is about to drop and no one wants to defend a pedo-protector. It's just a matter of time."
