(KRON) -- The Berkeley Police Department announced Wednesday it made an arrest after a theft over the weekend. According to BPD, an automated license plate reader (APLR) helped an officer track down a retail theft suspect.
A social media post by BPD regarding the arrest included a photo of where the alleged theft happened. The photo shows that the incident occurred at the Lululemon store on Fourth Street. BPD did not specify what was stolen or how much the value of the stolen goods was.
BPD arrested the suspect on Tuesday after the department was alerted via APLR that the suspect vehicle in the initial theft over the weekend had reentered the city. Police said the suspect was "in the process of stealing from another local retailer."
