You might have seen vaccination drive-up clinics, but what you may not know is that these are also valuable training grounds for public health professionals.
“Training events like this that actually stimulate real-world events really give our public health professionals the opportunity to train and practice their skills before a crisis occurs,” said Crystalynn Kuntz, emergency preparedness coordinator for Bismarck Burleigh Public Health.
Preparing for a public health emergency involves extensive behind-the-scenes work long before the public is aware of any threat.
