OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said that a man was transferred to ICE custody on a federal immigration charge on Oct. 1.
Deputies had arrested Wilson Nahun Figuero-Argueta on Sept. 22 on a child sex abuse charge. He was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center and fingerprinted.
According to officials, a check of Figuero-Argueta’s fingerprints by ICE revealed that he had an active federal warrant.
The sheriff’s office said Figuero-Argueta was transferred to ICE custody around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1. If he returns to the United States, he will face trial for his criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
