DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - It's been a rough year for precipitation. Unfortunately, it likely doesn't get much better for the rest of the year. WAND Weather does believe there will be an uptick in precipitation late this season, but not in the short term.

Meanwhile, chilly nights will bridge the gap between seasonable afternoons. More dew can greet us on the way out the door Thursday. That won't help the corn harvest, but it also doesn't stop it. If the wind becomes nearly calm across countryside locales, a bit of light frost is not out of the question over the next couple of mornings. That will give way to a little taste of late summer weather as next week rolls in.

Stay safe and stay weather-aware.
