ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Georgia Senate Committee met for the third time today to figure out how to keep your kids safe from Artificial Intelligence and the impacts of social media.
Wednesday, they focused on the potential harms of A.I. and how it’s used in A.I.-driven chatbots, especially now that a growing number of children are interacting with the programs in an increasingly personal way.
The meeting comes as children use these chatbots to get personal advice and even emotional support. However, research shows these chatbots have given dangerous advice on drugs, alcohol and self-harm, something Florida mother Megan Garcia knows too well.
