Four cities that border Everett, Massachusetts, have banded together in a push for more involvement in the New England Revolution's plans for a soccer-specific stadium in the city.

The mayors of Revere, Medford, Malden and Chelsea formed a coalition called City Mayors for Citizens that they said will seek transparency on plans for the stadium, including the impacts it will have on their communities.

The 25,000-seat stadium proposal has progressed in the state Legislature but still faces plenty of hurdles. The City Mayors for Citizens said they are worried about how the building on along the Mystic River might impact local infrastructure, public transit and quality of life.
