People using rideshare services in downtown Columbia this weekend will need to meet their rides at one of five stands designated for pickup.

These areas will be designated for rideshare and taxi only beginning at 5 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

During these hours, anyone ordering on a rideshare app downtown will be directed to the nearest stand for pickup. Rideshare drivers will also be instructed to pick up their passengers at the proper rideshare stand.

The locations of the stands are:

Broadway, north side, between Waugh Street and a point 280 feet east of Waugh Street

Cherry Street, south side, between Hitt Street and Tenth Street

Locust Street, north side, between Ninth Street and Tenth Street
