JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. —
The Jeffersonville Police Department is asking parents to talk to their children as a new, dangerous "TikTok" challenge is on the rise.
Police said the challenge involved juveniles going up to homes and trying to kick open the door while armed with airsoft guns.
Airsoft guns look like firearms, but they shoot non-lethal plastic BBs.
Police say if juveniles are successful in kicking open the door, they'll shoot rapid fire into the home before running away. If they are unable to kick in the door, police say the juveniles are waiting on the side of homes until someone comes outside then shooting them.
