ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A teen accused of bringing a gun to school will remain out of custody. The Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office said the 14-year-old tried to hide a gun loaded with 19 rounds of ammunition in a locker at Albuquerque High School last week. The teen was released to his parents on Tuesday, but prosecutors filed an emergency motion for the judge to reconsider that decision, claiming the boy's father lied to the court when he said he was never charged with a gun crime.
In 2015, the father was charged with firing a gun at a dog that had hit him at a dog park near Tingley Dr. and Alcalde Pl. Two years later, he was charged with pulling a gun on someone over a parking dispute. However, both cases were dismissed. KRQE News 13 is not naming the father because he w
