Wednesday night, residents gathered in council chambers to voice their opinions over reopening Dana street in Warren.

Eight years the street's been shut down to accommodate Auto Parkit business operations but some residents and council members said no more.

"The people have wanted this and i think it's probably a good idea," Michael Shrodek, Warren resident said.

"The Auto Parkit who wanted it closed, we wish him a lot of success. We want to see that, we've expressed that from the very beginning but I don't think having the road closed will prohibit him from being successful," Diane Manofsky, Warren resident said.

While others including some council members said it should remain closed at least until road work on the street is complete.
