LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- The number of flight delays at major airports around the country is continuing to climb amid the ongoing federal government shutdown. Officials representing the Capital Region International Airport, though, say travelers flying out of the airport should not see any major disruptions.

Operations at the Lansing airport, with its nine gates and single terminal, is not as busy as some of the major airports that are experiencing ground delays or complete closures, but it serves as a vital connection to larger hubs such as Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, Chicago O'Hare International Airport or Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C.
