BELFAST -- A new gubernatorial candidate has officially announced his campaign, and he's part of a very well-known political family. Jonathan Bush, New York native, businessman, and cousin of both former Bush presidents has put in his bid for the Blaine house.

Bush is the co-founder and former CEO of healthcare tech company AthenaHealth. He made his campaign announcement at AthenaHealth's Belfast location, where he says his company brought numerous jobs to the Waldo County community. "We filled this place with 1000 jobs," he said during an address.

Running as a Republican, Bush made his promise to dozens of supporters and AthenaHealth employees to improve Maine's job market and housing.
