Chandigarh, Oct 9: In a shocking turn of events, Amneet P. Kumar, the wife of late IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar, has lodged a police complaint accusing Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujeet Singh Kapur and Rohtak Superintendent of Police Narendra Bijarnia of abetment to suicide and caste-based harassment.

Amneet, an IAS officer serving as Commissioner and Secretary in the Haryana Department of Foreign Cooperation, was in Japan as part of Chief Minister Nayab Saini’s delegation when her husband died by suicide at their Sector 11 residence in Chandigarh last week.
