GREENSBORO, N.C. — City employees in Greensboro are pushing back against potential price hikes to their benefits, including healthcare, with open enrollment beginning in just five days on October 13.

What started as public comment at Wednesday night's city council meeting, turned into frustration over fairness, timing, and how much more city workers may pay for health care.

No one wants to pay more for insurance, but that may soon be reality for every City of Greensboro employee.

City employees, like Dave Coker, a Greensboro firefighter, who's also president of the Professional Firefighters of Greensboro, said they got too little notice before major health coverage changes were announced.
