Boys cross country: Firestone wins 23rd Akron City Series title in a row

Firestone freshman Aaron Skeriotis completed the 3.1-mile course at Goodyear Heights Metro Park in 19:06 to finish first and lead the Falcons to the team championship with 17 points. "Everyone came out really well and we all did our part to win," Skeriotis said. "I raced pretty well. The hill is always going to be the most challenging part. We make sure to push through and you don't give up on the hill. Once you get past the hill, it is pretty easy from there." Firestone won with the top four individual runners: Skeriotis, freshman Parker Wiandt, sophomore Carter Young and sophomore Jasper Purcell.
