HERMISTON, Ore. – The Umatilla County Fire District #1 (UCFD) responded to a brush fire off Walls Road in Hermiston this afternoon.

Fire crews arrived to find a small brush fire behind a home.

They initiated structure protection and quickly stopped the fire's forward progression, preventing any damage to the home, UCFD said in a release.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
