OKTOBERFEST IN VILLAGE: McDonald village will hold its annual Oktoberfest 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at Woodland Park. The event will include music, beer, food, vendors, and children’s activities and games.

MOSS HOUSE OPEN HOUSE: The Moss Ancestral Home and the Mineral Ridge Historical Society will hold an open house 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The public can tour the 1800s Pennsylvania Bank-style house at 1400 Burnett St. The historical society museum is located across the street and contains artifacts and pictures from the area.

SQUARE DANCE: The Friendly Squares will host their monthly square dance from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Niles Scope Center, 14 E. State St. Neil Harnar will be the caller. The theme for the dance is Halloween. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Cider and d
