Cicero, N.Y. — Firefighters from several departments were at a large barn fire late Wednesday night in Cicero.
Around 10:10 p.m., firefighters were called to 8753 Ferguson Road for a barn fully engulfed in flames, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.
Minutes after arriving, the South Bay Fire Department requested assistance from additional departments. Clay, Hinsdale, Cicero and North Syracuse fire departments responded, along with a NAVAC ambulance and other first responders.
Flames were seen coming from the barn, and one of its walls collapsed after 10:30 p.m. while firefighters were working to put the fire out, dispatches said.
Ferguson Road was closed from Route 31 to Marcus Tullius Circle. Fire trucks and emergency vehicles lined the road for hours.
