Northern volleyball earned a crucial win in the District 3 Class 4A playoff hunt on Wednesday, taking down West Perry 3-0 in Mid-Penn Conference Colonial Division play at Elliottsburg.
Katie Lusk led the way for the Polar Bears, recorded 10 digs, two kills and an ace.
Northern, now 10-5, sits at 17th in the Class 4A power rankings at the time of publication. The top 16 teams make the playoffs.
The Polar Bears won the three sets by scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-20. Cam Sauer also had seven kills and three digs while Paige Youtzy had five kills, three digs, two aces and a block.
Northern will host Big Spring on Thursday for the team’s senior night festivities.
West Perry drops to 1-14 with the loss, its 11th in a row dating back to Sept. 2.
