FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno homeless shelter is temporarily closing.
The shelter is in the former Motel 6 off Blackstone and Griffith Way.
The Recuperating Care Program provides shelter to people who are unhoused and were recently released from the hospital.
Housing was operated by Soul-House, a company based in Los Angeles, that is contracted with CAL-VIVA.
But Soul-House announced it will no longer be providing services.
RH Community Builders is now stepping in to help facilitate people out of the program.
Action News reached out to the city of Fresno about the temporary closure. Mayor Jerry Derry responded with the following statement:
