Philately, often called the King of Hobbies, is more than just a pastime; it serves as an educational gateway into the history, culture, and identity of nations. To promote this hobby that reflects India’s rich cultural heritage, the Department of Posts is celebrating National Postal Week from October 7th to 11th, 2025, by organizing various events across the country.

As part of the celebrations, students from various schools have been visiting different Philatelic Museums, including the one at the Red Fort in New Delhi.

These visits offer students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the stories behind the stamps, connect with historical events, and appreciate the important role the Department of Posts plays in communicating and preserving our nation’s history.
