Indian cricketer Rinku Singh has reportedly become the target of underworld threats, with members of the notorious Dawood Ibrahim syndicate allegedly sending multiple ransom demands earlier this year. According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, Singh's promotional team received three extortion messages between February and April 2025, each demanding a sum of five crore rupees.

The gang behind these threats is believed to be part of D Company, an organisation led by internationally wanted gangster Dawood Ibrahim. The investigation has led to the arrest of two suspects, Mohammed Dilshad and Mohammed Naveed. Both were apprehended in the West Indies and handed over to Indian authorities on the first of August.
