MASONTOWN, West Virginia — A suspect wanted in the April slaying of a Cleveland teenager was arrested Wednesday afternoon in West Virginia by federal agents.
The U.S. Marshals led Mountain State Fugitive Task Force arrested Waymon Donat, 19, at a residence in Masontown, according to a news release. He is being held in West Virginia until he can be extradited to Cuyahoga County, where he is wanted on an aggravated murder charge in the April 5 shooting death of Ricky Walker, 18.
In April, Cleveland police received reports of shots fired at 1:42 a.m. in the area of East 30th Street and Euclid Avenue. Officers then were called to the corner of East 55th Street and Cedar Avenue in the Central neighborhood for a report of a car crash.
